BUDGET PRODUCTION WORKSHOP FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE 2023 COMPOSITE BUDGET

It is the responsibility of the Regional Coordinating Councils to ensure that all Assemblies adhere to the laid down formats and guidelines issued yearly by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to enable them to prepare and present good Budgets that meet the expectations of the citizenry.

In line with this, the Western Regional Co-ordinating Council is organizing a 3-day Budget Production Workshop for the fourteen (14) MMDAs in the Region at Palms Hotel from 12th to 16th September 2022.

The workshop aims at ensuring:

  • Timely preparation and submission of Composite Budget to the Assembly
  • Strict adherence to the Budget guidelines
  • Train and support MMDAs in the use of the upgraded version of the activated software.

TARGET GROUP

Budget Analyst, Finance Officers, and Development Planning officers from each MMDA. Participants will be housed in a hotel for 5 days outside Takoradi with a maximum of 50 staff comprising 42 participants (three from each MMDA), Six Regional staff, and two facilitators from the Ministry of Finance, Accra.
