There is renewed hope for motorists and commuters in the Mpohor District, as Work has commenced on the thirteen-kilometre stretch, which had remained largely unmotorable for some years now.
The contractor, Justmoh Construction, has outlined the scope of work when the Western Regional Minister, Hon Joseph Nelson and the Ag. Regional Coordinating Director, Ms. Rachel Fosua Sarpong embarked on project monitoring. According to a company representative, the project is a continuation of the Apowa–Kejebir road and will be constructed as a paved road using high-strength paving blocks (50 newtons) as the final surface finish.
Production is already underway at the company’s factory, with approximately sixteen million paving blocks required for the project. Crushed rock for the base and sub-base is also being produced at the company’s quarry. The contractor has indicated that the construction period is twenty-four months and has expressed confidence in meeting the timeline.

The Regional Minister noted that Justmoh Construction’s return to site is a result of government intervention and commended the President for responding to the concerns of the people and facilitating the commencement of the project. He further expressed satisfaction, alongside the District Chief Executive, the Member of Parliament, and residents, that work has resumed.
However, it was emphasized that the true measure of success will be the completion of the project. The contractor is therefore expected to deliver quality work within the stipulated timeframe to meet the expectations of the people.
