REGIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL EXTENDS DEVELOPMENT MONITORING TOUR TO AMENFI EAST MUNICIPALITY

To strengthen local governance structures and enhance institutional oversight within Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs), a joint monitoring delegation conducted an extensive project evaluation tour across the Amenfi East Municipality.

The inspection team was led by the Regional Minister and the Regional Coordinating Director, Rachel Fosua Sarpong.

The team evaluated several ongoing public infrastructure projects aimed at improving living standards and human capital in the municipality. Key sites inspected included new school building constructions, a Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound, and multiple borehole and mechanized water projects designed to improve rural water security.

As part of the itinerary, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area, Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, to discuss local development priorities. The team subsequently inspected the ongoing construction of the Amenfi State Training College, a key educational legacy project for the enclave.

The Regional Coordinating Council commends the Member of Parliament (MP) and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Amenfi East for their effective collaboration, leadership, and dedication to driving impactful developmental initiatives across the municipality.
