Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah is the Minister responsible for the Western Region of Ghana. Prior to his appointment in April 2019, he had served as Deputy Minister for the Ministry of A viation.
Kobby as he is popularly addressed by the young, old and corporate people, is also the Member of Parliament for the Oil City of Takoradi. He is in his 3rd term as Member of Parliament.

Regional Budget Analyst
Mr Daniel Ofosu Adjei
Mr. Daniel Ofosu Adjei is currently, the Western Regional Budget Analyst, with the title, Chief Budget Analyst.
Mr. Ofosu Adjei holds both Bachelor of Science (BSc.) and Master of Science (MSc)in Economics and Statistic from Odessa Institute of National Economy, Ukraine, (1995). He also holds a Master of Art in Economics, from Institute of Social Studies, Kortenaerkade at The Hague, The Netherlands (2002). Mr. Ofosu Adjei has in addition acquired several other Post Graduate Degrees /Diplomas, including: Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA), 2009 and Financial Management and Good Governance in the Public Sector, Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Danida Fellowship Centre, Ramboll Management Consulting A/S, Copenhagen, Denmark (2016).
Mr. Ofosu Adjei joined the Service as an Assistant Budget Analyst [n the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in 1998, (Budget Unit) and was posted to the Tema Metropolitan Assembly. He has risen through the ranks to become a Chief Budget Analyst, spanning a period 23 years, having worked in the Greater Accra, Bono, Bono East and Western Regions.
By the nature of the Position he occupied, and the Career Progression he has gone through, Mr. Ofosu Adjei has acquired a wide range of experiences in the fields of Public Finance, Taxation and Rate Imposition, Project Management, Procurement, Audit, Tender Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and the use of various computer programmes to manage work and funds.
Mr. Ofosu Adjei is married with three kids.

ALFRED BUCKMAN
Mr. Alfred Buckman, holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management from the University of Cape Coast, Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) from the University of Cape Coast and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing from the Cape Coast Technical University.
Mr. Buckman worked with Ghana Education Service as Social Studies Teacher for three (3) years from 2003 to 2006
In December, 2006, He was employed by the Western Regional Coordinating Council as an Executive Officer and was upgraded to Principal Executive Officer in 2007 due to his High National Diploma (HND) qualification. He performed both Records management roles and Human Resource Management roles until 2017, where he was posted to the Jomoro Municipal Assembly as the Municipal Human Resource Manager.
On 7th July, 2023 he was posted back to the Western Regional Coordinating council as the Regional Human Resource Manager.

Bismark Amoah holds a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology from the University of Education Winneba and a Masters Degree in Management Information Systems from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), aside these degrees he also holds Postgraduate Certificate in Public Service Leadership and Governance from the Presbyterian University of Ghana, a CCNA Certificate from Ghana Technology University College and a certificate in Project Management. His job career started as an Elective Mathematics and ICT tutor at St. Augustine’s Senior High School, Bogoso and currently the MIS Manager at the Western Regional Coordinating Council. Regional Co-ordinating Directorate
The Regional Co-ordinating Director / Chief Director is the next in command and is the administrative head. He superintends over the Regional Co-ordinating Directorate made up of four (4) divisions –Finance and Administration, Human Resource, Regional Planning and Budget. His office also serves as the Central Secretariat of the Office of the RCC and the focal point for general administration, monitoring, co-ordinating and harmonizing departmental and public sector activities in the Region as well as those in the Districts.
