As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between the private sector and public institutions, the Western Regional Minister received a courtesy call from the top management of Telecel Ghana, led by their Chief Executive Officer, Ing. Patricia Obo-Nai.
The visit provided an opportunity for the team to brief the Minister on the state of their services within the region.
During the engagement, the Minister encouraged the company to intensify efforts to improve telecommunication services in rural areas, while acknowledging the progress already made in enhancing connectivity in underserved communities.

The Minister also highlighted the need to establish an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the region, noting the current absence of such a critical facility. In response, Ing. Patricia Obo-Nai expressed the company’s willingness to support the region’s development initiatives, particularly the proposed Takoradi Hospital ICU project.
