Western Regional Minister Announces Free Mega Health Screening and Surgical Outreach

The Western Regional Minister has announced a major free health screening and surgical outreach aimed at providing essential healthcare services to more than 3,000 residents across the region.

Describing quality healthcare as a key priority, the Minister noted that the initiative, the first of its kind in more than a decade, reflects a shared commitment to improving access to healthcare and enhancing the well-being of the people of the Western Region.

The outreach is being organized through a partnership between USA to Africa, Takoradi SDA Hospital, the Atlantic View Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Hope Channel, with support from the Western Regional Coordinating Council, under the theme “Healing Hearts, Transforming Lives.”

The exercise is scheduled to take place from September 21 to October 3, 2026, and will offer free health screening and surgical services to eligible beneficiaries.

The Minister encouraged the public, particularly individuals in need of medical attention, to take advantage of the opportunity and participate in the exercise, emphasizing that the initiative is expected to improve health outcomes and bring much-needed relief to thousands of residents across the region.
