WRCC REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO STRONGER COLLABORATION WITH MMDCES AT EXECUTIVE RETREAT

The Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and their respective Assemblies to accelerate development across the Western Region.

Speaking at the opening of a three-day Executive Retreat for MMDCEs at Maaha Beach Resort in the Ellembelle District, the Western Regional Minister stressed the need for closer coordination among all local authorities to effectively identify and address the unique development challenges confronting communities across the region.

The Minister noted that although the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies face different challenges, they all form part of one regional team whose collective efforts contribute to the overall development of the Western Region.

He described the retreat as an important platform for participants to share experiences, conduct honest assessments of their performance, identify successful initiatives, examine existing gaps and develop practical strategies to improve service delivery.

The Minister encouraged the MMDCEs to take advantage of the retreat to renew their dedication to public service and return to their respective Assemblies with clearer priorities, renewed energy and practical commitments aimed at building a stronger and more prosperous Western Region.

The three-day retreat is expected to equip the MMDCEs with the knowledge, strategies and collaborative approaches needed to enhance governance and drive sustainable development across the region.
