WESTERN REGIONAL MINISTER DESIGNATE MEETS HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS AT WRCC

The Western Regional Minister Designate, Hon. Joseph Nelson, has met with heads of departments at the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) as part of his preparation for vetting by the Appointment Committee of Parliament on January 30th.

The meeting, held on Friday, January 24, 2025, follows his nomination by the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, on January 16, 2025. Prior to this, the Minister Designate had an earlier engagement with core management members of the WRCC.

These meetings were designed to familiarize the Minister Designate with the operations of the WRCC and to provide him with updates on its progress, achievements, and challenges.

The heads of departments shared detailed insights into their respective portfolios, highlighting the strides made in the region and areas requiring attention. The discussions were highly productive and will adequately prepare the Minister Designate to address key issues during his vetting process.

Hon. Joseph Nelson expressed appreciation for the cooperation and support of the WRCC leadership and staff, pledging to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to advance the development agenda of the Western Region.
