To ensure the attainment of the vision of the local government service as a world class decentralization and client-oriented service the National Information Technology Authority (NITA) in collaboration with the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service( OHLGS) has introduce the smart workplace platform to be used by the local government service to digitize the operations of the OHLGS, the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and the Municipal and Metropolitan District Assemblies (MMDAs). Smart Workplace is a solution for collaboration in Internet communications and automation of business processes. Based on Microsoft Office 365, Smart Workplace provides employees with a single point of access to all the resources they need for daily tasks, such as emails, electronic memos, electronic leave management system, shared files, and corresponding management systems.

To maximize the benefits of the Smart Workplace, the Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) organized a training session for all staff of the RCC and the various MMDAs in the region. This training is set to equip the staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize the system.
