The Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) has held its second Management Meeting for the year, bringing together heads of departments and units to review the Council’s performance, discuss operational challenges, and strengthen collaboration towards improved service delivery.
The meeting, chaired by the Regional Coordinating Director, Ms. Rachel Fosuaa Sarpong, provided a platform for management members to present departmental achievements, highlight key challenges, and deliberate on strategies for addressing them.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Sarpong underscored the importance of effective coordination, teamwork, and accountability in advancing the Council’s mandate. She encouraged departmental heads to continue working collaboratively and sharing best practices to enhance the implementation of government policies and programmes across the region.
The Management Meeting also served as a peer review forum, enabling departments to assess one another’s performance, exchange ideas, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Discussions focused on strengthening institutional efficiency, improving interdepartmental coordination, and ensuring that the Council remains responsive to the developmental needs of the Western Region.
As part of efforts to strengthen coordination and improve efficiency, the Regional Coordinating Director directed that Management Meetings will henceforth be held every Monday at 8:30 a.m. The weekly meetings are expected to provide a consistent platform for monitoring progress, addressing emerging challenges, and ensuring effective collaboration among departments and units of the Council.
The meeting was well attended by heads of departments and units of the WRCC, reflecting their commitment to promoting good governance, transparency, and excellence in public service delivery.
