The Directorate was also involved in the redevelopment plan of Appiatse. A site visitation was done with the Head office and the District Assembly to ascertain the damage situation at the site. Drone works were also done to map the area for final works to be done. We also aided with stakeholder consultation and the various review processes before final drafts and approval were given for the resettlement project by the District Assembly Spatial Planning Committee in May 2022.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO MMDAS (STREET NAMING AND PROPERTY ADDRESSING SYSTEM)
The Western Region LUSPA has also been offering technical expertise to help the MMDAs discharge their duties effectively. The office has been offering Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support to most of these MMDAs. Officers of the Western Regional Directorate assisted Mpohor and Tarkwa Nsuaem Physical Planning Department in groundthruthing for selected communities and data collection exercises.
