The Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) held its Regional Budget Committee Meeting on Thursday, 27th August 2026.The meeting brought together key stakeholders to review the 2025 Budget Performance and deliberate on emerging budget activities within the Region.
Key items discussed included the District and Regional Cost Centre Budget Performance Reports, the Western Revenue 360 Project, and preparations towards the 2027 Regional Integrated Budget System (RIBS).
Members also reviewed previous decisions and considered other matters relevant to effective budget implementation, financial management, and resource allocation.
The meeting reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to strengthening budget coordination, promoting accountability, and ensuring the efficient and prudent management of public resources to support the development of the Western Region.
